We met at Apple, on the Sales floor where we both worked. I (I = Jessie, obviously I’d be the one doing a website. Hunter is playing World of Warcraft right now. It’s ok, he can proof read later) didn’t even know Hunter Orona existed. Apparently, he waved at me once (I honestly have no recollection of it), even though he didn’t know who I was. He was just all heart eyed emoji over me or something. Hunter will probably deny it if you ask him. 😂 After a year of being in the same department with no interaction, we were both transferred to AppleCare and were put in the same training class. Hunter was always the guy sleeping in the back of the classroom. That’s how he made an impression on me (not joking, that’s actually how I started remembering him). In Hunter’s defense, he claimed that he was on some really strong pain meds and antiobiotics because he had injured his foot partying at his friend’s ranch…like a giant rusty bell fell on his foot or something to that degree. I don’t know. He can be pretty accident prone though. 🤷🏻♀️ Men, I tell ya. As a result, we were kind of forced to talk to each other since the classroom is only so big, the fact that he was only sitting two seats away from me, and our trainer liked to do stupid team building exercises (not a complaint, we look back fondly on that…well the part where we talked, not the team building exercises). Guess what? After that, we lost touch. 😂
I am basically a wife already if you couldn’t tell. OK! I’M BACK. So yes! We lost touch after we were assigned to different teams when training ended and that was that. However, we were brought together again by a mutual friend/coworker. She had been absent for quite some time and she was on the same team with Hunter. She also sat across from, you guessed it, Mr. Hunter Orona. I swear on Coco (our beautiful old lady Shih Tzu) that I wasn’t trying to get Hunter’s attention, even though Hunter thought otherwise; like I had some sort of ulterior motive to get close to him. I worried about our mutual friend a lot, we both did; so every two days I’d go over to Hunter’s desk and ask him if he’s heard any news about said friend. But because of this recurring act of mine, Hunter somehow gathered up the courage one late evening during our break and said, “I am moving to a new apartment and have been really stressed out. I need a drink. Do you want to go get a drink tonight?” Me: “Sure (still thinking nothing of it), where?” Hunter: “Uhh…I don’t know. Rock Rose? No, that’s too far. Or OH! Little Woodrow’s? It’s close to us!” Me: “Okay! Well, I get off of work earlier so I need to give my friend a ride. Then by the time I’m done I’ll just meet you there!” So I went ahead and performed my good deed for the day, dropped my friend off and just as I was driving back toward Parmer, Hunter called. Hunter: “Please save me from this place…I hate country music…” Me: **Laughing hysterically since it was this man’s idea to go to Little Woodrow’s** Hunter: “Seriously though. Let’s go somewhere else. Have you been to Pinballz?” I’ve only been to the original Pinballz and I FRIGGIN LOVE ARCADES, so of course I excitingly agreed! AND THE REST IS HISTORY. I’ll spare you guys the embarrassing pick up lines that Hunter used on me while we were there. I don’t think he’ll want to marry me if I tell that story. 😆 You can ask us at the wedding if you really want to know.
We would very much love to have our furbabies joining us on our big day. Sadly…the venue does not allow animals. So, we’ll just have to feature them in a different way! ❤️ **Below is a pic of Teddy (left), Coco (middle), and Freddy (right)**
