It all started at Walmart. Yes, Wally World. I was in the checkout line and Gabriel was behind in line. He was supposed to be checking out his groceries, but instead he was checking me out. I looked back and our eyes locked for a moment, I smiled, and continued to pay for my groceries. As I am walking to my car, Gabriel runs out of the store and catches up to me. We exchanged numbers in the parking lot. We became friends and started dating. We enjoyed our time together but it wasn’t the timing for us so we separated on good terms. This was about 14 years ago. Fast forward to 2020... I posted a Facebook story (which I rarely do) and Gabriel sees and decides to reach out to see how I was doing during the quarantine. Immediately, I was drawn to his message and wanted to know how he was doing after so many years. We spoke on the phone for about 5 hours the first night. The second and third nights were the same! We met up a few days later and we have been inseparable ever since.
