We played Blank Slate where we fill in the blank and try to get the same answer... we did okay ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It all started the summer of 2011 at a gazebo in a friend's neighborhood - Morgan was 16 entering her junior year of high school and Will 17 about to begin his senior year at Peachtree Ridge. Our first go-around lasted a solid 3 months, but we remained friends afterwards. It wasn't until Will jetted off to Valdosta State University before we decided to try a long-distance relationship... and surprisingly we made it almost 2 years before calling it quits again. Morgan was about to transfer to the greatest university (and back to back National Champs), UGA, to finish her Advertising degree and Will was enjoying his last few years of college with friends while working towards his degree in Accounting. Fast forward to 2018 when a random text about Harry Potter rekindled our friendship. The only downfall... Will had recently moved to Colorado for work while Morgan was still figuring out her next steps in Georgia. But hey, we had done the long-distance thing before, why would it stop us this time? So, we once again began a relationship split by a measly 1,400 miles and quickly learned the saying "Distance makes the heart grow fonder" was completely true. Flights to Colorado for Morgan and trips back home for Will became more frequent. Not to mention Google Duo dates for hours on the weekends (that's like FaceTime for all you iPhones users). We made it work until Morgan finally got the news she was hoping for in January 2021... she got a transfer with her company to Colorado! Queue the apartment searching, packing and a 20 hour cross-country trek with her dad and Morgan and Will were finally living in the same state after 2 years of long-distance. Our weekends were filled with hikes near and far, exploring all the beautiful nature Colorado encompasses. But our favorite hike to date happened on our 4 year anniversary, October 15, 2022, at Silver Dollar Lake where Will popped the question and Morgan accepted. There's no doubt our relationship has been a rollercoaster but we're just enjoying the ride 💜
