***Attention out-of-town guests! A rental car is AN ABSOLUTE MUST in order to commute to the Salt Flats. Uber and Lyft will not be available. Please keep in mind that the Salt Flats are located an hour and a half West of SLC. Please leave SLC by 3:30 PM to arrive on time. Be sure to type into your GPS "Salt Flats Rest Area Westbound" to ensure you arrive at the correct location.
