Hannah here! It is really hard for me to summarize how we met without writing a novel. At the time, I was a barista at Luma, just having a coffee before my shift when Micah comes in with his friend Eric. My coworker Kailey comes over to the bar and whispers, "these guys like KNOW coffee" which is pretty cool, considering she and I both had roots in the fast-food equivalent of coffee shops, and hardly anyone in Hammond knows anything about craft coffee. Still, I didn't think much of it until the two were about to leave the shop. We shared a little small talk, gave simple farewells and they went on their way. By some chance (and Instagram's algorithm), I came across their Instagram pages. We exchanged follows, and again, I didn't think much of it. The story picks up a few days later when we were hit by Hurricane Ida. In order to keep in touch with my friends and family, I updated my story regularly during the storm. Completely flooded in, unsure if my car would run, I consistently posted, trying to keep a brave face in the midst of my fear. That's when my boy decided to shoot his shot I guess because who slid in my DM's? Micah B. Atkinson. This sweet-talking, tall drink of water reaches out to me, a mere damsel in distress, asking if there is anything he can do for me. Once the conversation started, it just never really stopped! From tattoos to music to Pokemon to Jesus, we desired to know each other deeper.
This is Micah’s job lol
