We’re getting married!

In 2016, not 1876, Marcella Teixeira-Marques and Ammanfil Oreta met during their undergraduate studies at Washington State University. Marcella was a different person then; wanting to try her hand at underwater sculpture making, while Ammanfil struggled with his highly demanded kite making degree. Feeling overwhelmed by the demands of the entirety of their lives, they placed down their wet clay and kite string to join performing dance groups. Side note: Marcella had never danced before, so she thought to give it a try. Ammanfil, on the other hand, was highly experienced. He had watched the movie Dirty Dancing a few times in his lifetime. And that is where Ammanfil and Marcella saw one another--Well I mean that's when Ammanfil saw Marcella as she perfected her dance group’s routine to the chicken dance while eating an apple. Ammanfil thought she was bad to the core... Later that night, they would continue to passively, almost undetectably, show interest to one another. There was passion and it was brewing. A few miscommunicating months later and the two finally chose to be together. Well, Marcella locked Ammanfil in a room until he conceded, which he did. Yay! They decided that this would be the person who they would foster a love with. They dropped their previous aspirations of becoming a world-renowned underwater clay arti’st and a kite create’or, and chose a less fulfilling life as mental health counselors. ... Our journey has been filled with immense challenge and transformation. We are thankful to have found one another. Two individuals desiring to create a now and a future of love, compassion, and growth, together. On November 28 of 2018, we became engaged [Obi Approved], further promising one another a now and a future of companionship and compassion.
