It was a Friday night on February 3, 2o23 in Buenos Aries, Argentina at the Shabbat dinner of our friends Dovid and Raquel Teles. Miriam and Raquel grew up together since they were two years old and Oren and Dovid grew up together in Baltimore. Miriam and Oren both flew out to Argentina to celebrate their wedding. They spent the weekend getting to know each other and the second Oren left Argentina, he called Dovid and said I think "I just met my future wife, you need to set it up." Then Miriam gets a text from Dovid saying " Cool if I give Oren your number?" Obviously she said yes..... And the rest is history. Little did they know that this weekend would become the beginning of their own love story.

Miriam had already made plans to spend Purim in New York with her friend Shira the following month. Until then, Miriam and Oren spent the next few weeks continuing to get to know each other through texts and Facetime calls. Oren, not exactly a New York enthusiast, but undoubtedly a Miriam enthusiast, decided to drive up to New York to spend the weekend with her. Coincidentally, the apartment Miriam stayed in was right across the street from where Oren stayed, at his brother, Ariel’s apartment. They spent all of Shabbat together and went on their first official date on Saturday night, March 4, 2023, to Talia's Steakhouse where they continued getting to know each other and decided to see where their shared journey would lead.

Miriam was on her way home from the office, when her dad said that he needed to stop off quickly to drop something off at his client's house. When they arrived after driving through the hills of Laurel Canyon, Miriam walked into a beautiful proposal scene set up by her sister Sara and Co. Oren then got down on one knee and asked Miriam to marry him. SHE SAID YES!!!! Their entire family was there to celebrate and toast to their engagement.
