What is the best way to get from the airport to the city?

Answer

Currently, Uber or Lyft are your best options. On average, these cost $35, but can go as high as $60. If you prefer to wait and save a couple dollars, white taxis are a flat fee of $35 to anywhere in the city. Once you get settled in, New Orleans is perfect for strolling around. Be sure to make use of the St. Charles streetcar if you're heading Uptown, it is the oldest operating streetcar line in the world!

This is a very important aspect to living in New Orleans, as we identify as a tropical zone. It could be hot and humid, or cool and breezy. There might be rain, or maybe even a hurricane! Keep an eye on the weather and prepare for some ups or downs. November can be one of the most lovely times to be in the city, so we are looking forward to some cooler beautiful days then.

Another very important aspect of living in New Orleans is the food. As the saying goes, in New Orleans you talk about what to eat for dinner while you're having lunch! We pride ourselves on being one of the most unique cultural dining destinations, as we have our own Creole and Cajun cuisine not found in other parts of the country. With that said be sure and look ahead for reservations, as many of our classic establishments book up quickly.
