Hotel
Resort is all inclusive and is located on the far end of the hotel zone.
Flight
You will fly into Cancun International Airport, and transportation will be included in the package. The resort is about 30 mins from the airport with out delays. Major construction is happening by the airport so there are severe delays. The transportation company is aware and will schedule pick up times accordingly.
Travel Note
Mexican Pesos is the currency and it is about $1 USD to $18 Pesos. But this conversion may vary depending on what establishments you will patron. It is not regulated. It is suggested to change your money before leaving the states and carry smaller pesos though out the stay. This can be done at the airport (US/Mexico) or your bank for free. On the resorts, no cash is exchanged due to it being all inclusive. However, please tip your waitstaff. Locals appreciate and welcome tips. ATM’s available on property and around town but the fee is ridiculous. Try to change money before arriving. If you happen to need more there are exchange houses in town to change out your money. Debit cards and credit cards are a great option and will incur a small conversion fee of $1-3 per transaction. Must have passports to change money in Mexico.

Flights are not included in the package. You will need to make your own travel arrangements.

There are multiple taxi companies available throughout Cancun. There will be taxis available at the resort to take you through the hotel zone. Depending on which part of the hotel zone you want to go to, it is a flat fee. They do take USD but be ware of the difference in conversion rates. Best to pay in pesos. Taxis do not take credit or debit cards. Do not take any Uber’s. The country is having issues regulating Uber and as a result there is a on going fight with the taxi drivers and things are turning aggressive.
Travel Note
It is required by the government that if you use sunscreen to use a biodegradable sunscreen that is coral reef friendly. If you choose to do a tour snorkeling, scuba diving, eco parks or water activities they will require specific sunscreen before entering the water.
