Oona-Ifé & Anthony

Our People

Meet our people! The ones who have always been there for us with their love, support, and laughter. We are so thankful for you!

Taylor McDonald

Maid of Honor

Not many people can say they have had a friend for more than 20 years, but we aren't most people! I am lucky enough to not only call you my best friend but my chosen family, and having you in my life has meant so much to me! From going to Girl Scout's "Survivor" camp, to laying on the beaches of Isla Mujeres, we have seen so much together. Your laughter, celebratory dances, and constant support have gotten me through the best and worst times of my life and I am so thankful that you have played a part in shaping who I am! Thank you for always supporting the love Anthony and I have shared, I am so honored for you to be by my (virtual) side!

Brian Allen

Best Man

What can be said about how our friendship has blossomed over the years? It is always crazy to me when I think back to how I was like "who is this lame singing 'Too Late to Apologize'" to now you being one of my best friends and strongest support systems. Your consistency and encouragement, especially in terms of me on Oona's relationship, has meant the world to us both, and we are so blessed to have you a part of our lives. I am honored to call you my best man.

Mikaya McCarty

Bride's Side

Whether it was the crafty ways we would watch tv when we weren't supposed to, or that one time we almost got lost wading along the shore on vacation in Canada, you have always been my guide. Being 5 1/2 years younger than you, I have always been inspired by your creativity and curiosity, and will forever turn to you for your endless wisdom. Thank you for always supporting me and especially cheering on my relationship with Anthony. We are both so grateful for you and love you so much!

Lawrence Rabon

Groom's Side

It’s actually wild to say that we have known each other for almost all of our lives. Throughout all of that time, you have shown me (and Oona) so much love, and I will forever be grateful for that. We went from being boys lip-syncing “My Girl” at Pilgrim Rest, to the men we are today.  I am thankful to have you as a friend, blessed to call you a brother, and I am excited to have you as a groomsman.

Akasha Wright

Bride's Side

It's hard to believe I met you when you were just 14. Since then I have been so proud to watch how much you have grown and achieved! I used to beg my mom for a little sister and after all these years I am so excited to finally have one. Even though we don't live in the same state, it has been such a pleasure to see your relationship with Anthony grow over the years, and for us to develop one of our own. I can't tell you how lucky I feel to be a part of your life. Anthony and I are so grateful for your love and support!

Antonio Davis

Groom's Side

It is not every day that someone can say that they have had the same friend for the past 12 years of their lives, but I am so thankful to be able to say that with you. Your friendship and brotherhood have meant the world to me, and your constant support has been a blessing for both me and Oona over the course of our relationship. Shoutout to you and Callie for being early examples of what a healthy marriage can look like at our age! It is my honor to have you as a groomsman.

Miko Laforteza

Bride's Side

After meeting you at a party freshman year I knew I needed your energy in my life, and we quickly became each other's hype person! You make the most mundane situations fun and have always cheered me on when I needed it the most. Whether it is sharing an uplifting quote or making sure to send me extra love on a hard day, your presence in my life has been so important to me. Thank you for always being a source of inspiration and joy for me, I love you so much! Anthony and I are so grateful to have always had you in our corner!

Robert Welch

Groom's Side

Since our freshman year after we met at the ASA BBQ, I knew you were going to be a life-long friend. Now after 9 years of friendship, driving across the country , having you as a roommate, plotting our upcoming cracker barrel endeavors, commissioning a would be unlawful fantasy football league, and being there for each other, I am happy to call you my brother and one of my groomsmen. Your presence in both our lives has been a blessing. 4FONFCYFLHF

Natasha Bentzen

Bride's Side

Thank goodness for Anthony forcing us to hang out after both being secretly too shy to do it ourselves! Our friendship blossomed overnight and I am so grateful for the joy you bring to my life! Watching bad reality tv together and spending hours in the car talking after swearing we would call each other later, are only some of the ways this love has grown! My kindred spirit, thank you for teaching me so much about how to show up for everyone around me, and for always encouraging me to treat myself. Anthony and I are so blessed to have friends as amazing as you and Dan.

Daven Hines

Groom's Side

Who would have thought that after hanging out when we were younger (neither one of us really remember that) that we would reunite at a college party at union south and go on to be life long friends. From our time as the black representatives for the business school to us crashing the Hines' 4th of July BBQs, Oona, and I have appreciated your presence in our lives and are blessed to consider you family. I am thankful to be able to call you a groomsman. 4FONFCYFLHF

Sydney Parsons

Bride's Side

The often playful calm in our loud and boisterous friendship! Thank you for always being a voice of reason and seeing the silver lining in almost every situation. Your love and support over the years have meant more to me than I can say. We have weathered storms together and you have shown me grace and unconditional love like no one else can. Your love for others and inquisitive nature have made me think deeper and love harder, and I am so grateful for you. Anthony and I are so lucky to have you in our lives!

Aaron Irving

Groom's Side

I remember when I first met you during my freshman year. I went up to your room in Ogg and we watched the Bachelor with your RA because you were trying to "establish a good connection". I knew from there you would be a gem of a human being and a great friend for years to come. Oona and I are both honored to have you as a part of our lives and be a support to us both throughout undergrad. I am blessed to call you a friend, and thankful to have you as a brother and a groomsman. 4FONFCYFLHF

Margaret Olaiya

Mother of the Bride

My protector, my comfort, and my joy, thank you for teaching me to love boldly and unconditionally! Without your endless encouragement and wisdom, I would not have grown into the person I am today. I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am to have had you as my biggest support. Anthony and I (and Alby) love you so much and are beyond blessed to have you in our lives!

Pamela Wrightt

Mother of the Groom

It’s tough to put into words how special of a woman you are to me. You are such a kind soul, a giver, and a light for all that come in contact with you. Thank you for your endless wisdom, support, and belief in us as individuals and us in our relationship. Oona and I appreciate you so much and are thankful to have you as one of our moms. We love you!

Bryan Mack

Officiant

It is not every day someone encounters genuine people and instantly wants that person to be a part of their family, but I am glad I was able to do that with you. Thank you for being my betting partner, my Christian brother who is always down to talk about God, and the one for sure person in our fantasy league who I try to finesse trades with. I am grateful for the time that we have known each other, and am excited for the years to come. We appreciate you being the officiant for our wedding and helping to make our big day even more special.

Elaine Wright

Mother of the Groom

You are one of the strongest funniest people I have ever known. I am forever grateful for the love you show me and Oona on an everyday basis and appreciate everything you have done for me and Kash. While I clown the state of Arkansas regularly, you have really made it feel like home every time we come to visit. Thank you for being a constant and for infectious spirit that you share with the world! We love you!

Mark Wright

Father of the Groom

Its hard to even type this out without crying, but know that you are forever missed. You physically not being here is tough, especially around milestones such as this, but I know that your spirit has never left me. Even though Oona has never met you in person, she always says that she knows exactly who you are by loving me. At an early age, you taught me what it meant to be a great husband, a great father, and a great man, and I will continue to take your lessons with me for the rest of my life. I love you, and I know you are proud. Continue to rest easy Dad.
