Jessica and Zoey grew up one street away from each other, and first met walking to and from elementary school. What began as an awkward-silence-filled relationship has become the LEAST silent ever, and the two have grown even closer of the years, bonding over travel, podcasts, the love of the great outdoors, and too much shopping.
Cassie
Bridesmaid
Cassie and Zoey were introduced by a mutual friend in college and it was love at first site. In fact, she, Zoey, and Kevin spent many a hot summer night judging others over beers. Even though Cassie betrayed Zoey by moving across the country less than a year after the two met, they have remained thick-as-thieves over phone calls and the occasional (and much needed) in-person visits.
Lauriana
Bridesmaid
Lauriana and Zoey were introduced by their figure-skating coach as small, awkward children. They remained small and awkward, but had the beautiful benefit of doing it together. The two loved to terrorize each other's families by staying up late sharing grilled cheese, inside jokes, and teenage girl music. While they might've moved on a bit from their rink-rat days, they certainly haven't moved on from one another (or being awkward).
Matt
Bridesman
Bonded by force since birth, Matt and Zoey continue to speak the secret sibling language that includes inside jokes, movie references, and a complicated set of hand signals. Even though Zoey is still pissed that Matt has more personalized Christmas ornaments on the tree every year - she couldn't have asked for a cooler, more talented best friend to grow up with.
Alex
Best Man
Kevin and Alex met in their Freshman year of college when they were randomly assigned as bunkmates in their first dorm room. They quickly became friends and, though their time together at school was short lived, and continue to share in all sorts of swashbuckling adventures. It's been said that Alex and Kevin are bad influences on each other; that perhaps they have "too much" fun. Hogwash!
Michael
Groomsman
Like Alex, Michael and Kevin met during their Freshman year of college. They quickly discovered that they share the same birthday and thus began years of debate about who is older (pretty sure it's Kevin). Their friendship really blossomed during long tangent filled philosophical discussions about life, its purpose and the meaningless quandaries of simple men. They stayed close friends throughout their college years, living together for two of them, and though Michael now lives in Salt Lake City they continue to keep in touch and try to meet up for a backpacking trip every year.
Donovan
Groomsman
Donavan is the older brother of the groom. He introduced Kevin to music, skateboarding and how to be a proper hooligan. Throughout the years, Donavan has always been a positive role model and someone Kevin has truly looked up to. Though they now live far away from each other the still get together a couple times a year for a pint of beer and to watch the most glorious sporting event that God has bestowed upon this good green earth. John
Officiant
John and Kevin were in the film program together at Central Washington University. Though they had several classes together and worked on short films in their free time, it wasn't until their Senior year that they really hit it off. After a long, cold, dark Ellensburg winter of late night dancing at club 301 John and Kevin became inseparable. John was also a very early witness to Kevin and Zoey's blooming relationship (he insists he wasn't surprised). It is only fitting the man who was closest in the beginning should be the closest at this next juncture.
