Doing things a little different...

Probably your first drive in wedding!

Due to COVID-19 restrictions we decided to do something a little different.... a drive in wedding! See our schedule page and FAQ for more info! Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this challenging time. We are so blessed to have experienced so much of God's grace and provision during this process. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 ESV

How We Met

"After all these years..."

When you graduate with a thousand people, you're bound not to know everyone. Reggie played football and ran track while Jenna was in the marching band, which makes for a very typical story line. In 2015, they became friends through facebook and had many conversations about their faith. Jenna put Reggie into the friend zone and they lost touch. In 2017, they ran into each other at the gym and Jenna received a text the next day. "After all these years..." Jenna invited Reggie to her weekly bible study through Covenant Church, and they began working out regularly together at the gym. In the summer of 2018 they started spending more and more time together outside of church and gym. They spent their first time really alone together at peace valley park where they sat on the edge of the lake and talked for hours. Everyone assumed they were already dating, but Jenna boasted about her successful placement of Reggie in the friend zone. Reggie predicted that she WOULD date him sooner or later. Who could resist that smile??? In late August of 2018 at a BBQ, they defined their relationship, and everyone screamed, FINALLY!!!!

The Proposal

It's time!

So there I was laying in bed as gassy as can be. I wasn’t certain if it was the sushi we ate or if it was something else. I’ve been praying for months and months for how and when I was going to propose to Jenna. At this point, it’s about 11:45 pm and I just can’t sleep. I felt the Lord just telling me it’s time Reggie! Tonight is the night! So like any good christian would do when God is telling them something, I ignored him. BIG MISTAKE! I was very wide awake. As it got later in the night it was time to take Jenna home. As we got in the car, all I could think about was grabbing the ring. So I ran inside and grabbed the ring. I start driving her home and my feet start sweating and my hands start shaking. I’m a nervous mess at this point and I can barely breath. I pull up to Jenna’s house and as shes getting out of the car I tell her we need to pray. We get out the car and in my head I’m saying, Okay Reggie its time”. Well silly me, Im saying this out loud!!! Jenna goes, “time for what.” So I did what any real one would do. In my sailor boat pajamas, my knock off Mario Lopez sandals, and my half zipped up Coca Cola hoodie I dropped down on one knee and I professed my love and told Jenna how beautiful she is and I love her without make up on and I want to be her man forever. At this point I thought she was going to throw up from either my bad breath or excitment! But all glory to God, she said yes. And the rest is history!!!
