Our story is one of our favorite things to tell. We love to tell people the beautiful way that God brought us together. It all started with a DM, just kidding!!! Ben had previously attended our church 3 years ago. We reconnected during the Christmas season when Ignite led worship for an event at Marcus Pointe. But, slight problem, I thought he was married. He wears a snare drum ring that his grandparents got him for graduation on his left hand, cause he sized it on the wrong hand. So… I didn’t think much about him being there. I thought he was off limits. We began messaging each other at the beginning of January about our Jeeps. YES we’re a Jeep couple 0|||||||0 That conversation kept going and going that finally, he asked if I wanted to get lunch with him. From there, we both decided we weren’t going to talk leading up to our first date, so we would have lots to talk about. However, that didn’t last. We talked all week long and it was a further confirmation for the both of us, where this was going. Our first date was supposed to be a simple lunch date, but it turned into a full day of breakfast, lunch and dinner. From there we spent the rest of the weekend together. Half way into our first date, he didn’t ask the simple “will you be my girlfriend” question, he told me that he wanted us to be committed to each other. We both knew from day one, that this is what the Lord had for us. We were always “on the same page” with one another. I have never felt so much peace in my life about the decision to marry him. We are so excited to see where the Lord leads us together. Thank you, friends + family for pouring into us separately and as a couple. We are the product of each of you. We are so thankful to celebrate with you on January 6th!!! - emma
