In November 2024, while traveling solo through Vietnam for the first time, we matched on Bumble. Even though we were in the same country, timing wasn’t on our side—between work schedules and traveling across cities, we never got the chance to meet in person. But something kept us talking. What started as a simple connection quickly grew into something deeper through months of video calls and daily messages on WhatsApp. For six months, we built our relationship across time zones, sharing our lives, our stories, and countless conversations that made the distance feel smaller. In June 2025, we finally met in person in Ho Chi Minh City. Our first date was unforgettable, lunch at a Michelin-star restaurant, where everything felt both exciting and completely natural at the same time. Soon after, we took our first trip together to Ha Long Bay, turning what started as a long-distance connection into real shared memories. Along the way, Thanh got to meet my world too, through video calls with my mom, sister, and friends. On my second visit, I had the chance to meet her friends and relatives, making everything feel even more real and rooted in both of our lives. Then, on February 19, 2026, in Da Nang, on a beautiful beach, I asked the most important question; and she said yes. What began as a chance match has turned into a love story that crossed continents, time zones, and cultures. We’re so excited for everything ahead and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you.
