I wrote “our story” below about our original date. I love the meaning behind it so I figured I would keep it. After all, June 13th will now forever hold a special place in our hearts. 🖤 Nick and Karli officially started talking the weekend of June 13th through 15th in 2014, at a music festival downtown. Thanks to their two best friends, Nico & Taylor, their paths crossed quite a bit that weekend and it was only a matter of time before Nick made his first move on Karli, the ever-so-clever “DM” (direct message). Nick and Karli had both recently ended bad relationships and they were in no way looking to jump right into another one. However, it’s true what they say, love always seems to find you when you least expect it. Fortunately, Nick won Karli’s heart at just the right time, because just 2 short months later, Karli moved to Florida. Although 2 months may seem like a short time, it was all the time they needed to realize they were meant to be. The choice for Karli to move was already made, so there was no turning back, but the two of them never gave up. They quickly learned how to build a relationship, while being 1400+ miles apart, and their love grew stronger so fast, you would have never even guessed the two just recently met. Ironically, without even planning it, Nick & Karli booked their wedding on June 13th, 2020. Not even realizing the wedding would take place exactly 6 years from the weekend their relationship first began. Unfortunately, COVID hit in 2020 and the wedding had to be postponed. The couple will now get married on Friday, May 21, 2021 and finally begin their journey as Husband & Wife. <3
