(She/Her/Hers) Amanda and Maddy met freshman year of high school and quickly became inseparable. They bonded over our love of music and theater. Amanda's favorite memories with Maddy are the times in high school and college when they'd cook or bake together and watch late night TV. Amanda and Maddy have seen each other through so many phases of life and Amanda is so excited for Maddy and Darwin to start this new chapter together.

(They/Him) Cole has known Darwin since before time, probably somewhere in middle school. After working together on a video project in ninth grade, they became inseparable as close friends and creative collaborators throughout high school, college, and even their own very short-lived business. For a long time, you almost couldn't have one without the other. Cole met Maddy more recently, but it's clear that she and Darwin make an incredible team. This wedding marks a bad day for the forces of evil.

Kezia Fox

(She/They) Kezia and Maddy met each other in high school while on the speech team, and quickly became close friends. They even attended SMSU together for a year. Over the years, Kezia and Maddy have only become closer, and have shared so many amazing memories together, that she can’t pick a favorite. Kezia is so happy she is able to see her bestfriend marry the love of her life, Darwin, and hopes to make many more memories to come.

Johanna Gorman-Baer

(She/Her/Hers) Johanna met Darwin in 2014 through the theatrical summer spectacle that was Human Combat Chess, where she got to know them as a fellow creative collaborator as each year brought more hours of long rehearsals, sensational stage combat, and community building. Meeting Maddy for the first time, she immediately noticed how relaxed and grounded she and Darwin both were in each other's presence. Getting to know Maddy as she became part of Darwin's life, Johanna can see that these two match each other's fierce enthusiasm and genuine appreciation for all life has to offer. It is a true honor to be able to celebrate these two and their love for each other. May this be one of many many joyous days ahead.

Pip Guttormson

(They/Them/Theirs) Pip is a chaos gremlin in people clothes. They met Maddy in the SMSU Green Room in 2013, where they were charmed by her wit and smitten by her Hot Goth Babe style. When Darwin entered the picture, they quickly became one of Pip’s best friends. Sharing a love of theatre, music, TTRPG, and a budding fondness for wrestling, Mab & Darwin are two of Pip’s go-to hype people. Heads up: Pip likes the weirdest snacks, doesn't like people who cross any of their squad, and talks A LOT about their four cats. No, more than that.

Erik Henkel

(He/Him/His) Erik has known Darwin since 2nd grade when they lived in the same neighborhood. Over the course of growing up together the number of adventures and sometimes misadventures that they have been on is incalculable. His favorite memory is of the day a group of friends were getting ready to get in a cab to go to London Gatwick airport to fly to Dublin, Darwin was nowhere to be found as they had spent the last two hours venturing out into central London carrying a broadsword they bought to try and ship it home. After about a 10 minute wait that seemed like an eternity, Darwin returned still carrying the broadsword. They wearily said "It was 2 cm too long to ship. Oops, I left it" and threw it on the floor. The group missed that flight.

T'Shael Jones

(She/Her) T’Shael met Maddy in College through the SMSU Drama Club, and they quickly became good friends! Together they have worked on multiple theatre productions, had many late nights watching American Horror Story and Master Chef, and bonded over tumultuous love lives in their 20s. Maddy has been a steadfast friend, and T’Shael has constantly learned from her no-nonsense attitude and kind, giving heart. T’Shael met Darwin through when they started dating Maddy, and love the light and energy they add to the circle! They bring an infectious passion into all they do, a fire that everyone can see - especially in loving our friend. There is no better person for Maddy. Their relationship is an example to everyone around them; love a lot, and love hard. It makes the room, and the world, a little brighter.

(She/Her/Hers) Andi grew up with Madeline, not letting the border between Minnesota and Iowa stop them. They would make frequent trips to see each other every year growing up and have been an important part of each other’s lives ever since! Growing up as cousins, Andi and Maddy were never not laughing at inside jokes or causing mayhem whenever we were together. Andi still cherishes the side splitting laughter from all of our escapades. Maddy and Andi may as well be sisters because we’ve been a part of so many good memories and important parts of each other’s lives. Andi is so thankful that she gets to celebrate Madeline & Darwin and the love they have for each other and can’t wait for their special day!

Alex Pikiben

(He/Him/His) What's up y'all! Alex met Maddy in college where they destroyed comedy with their amazing improv skills. They became fast friends and have stayed close ever since. Even with Alex moving to different states Maddy has been one of his best friends, even serving as the Best Man when Alex got married! Alex hasn't known Darwin as long but they have become like family these past few years. They have bonded quite nicely over Maddy's culinary prowess and anything related to theater or video games. Alex is so happy to be a part of this special day with these two crazy hooligans!

(They/Them/Theirs) AP has known Maddy since 2012 . They met Maddy through AP's partner Alex and became fast life long friends! Maddy was a part of lots of life events including getting our first apartment just to name one memory. Darwin fabulously fell into our lives in 2021 through Maddy. When they met it was in instant bond. Darwin's passion, humor, and love for the people around them were traits that AP admired. AP loves both Darwin and Maddy with their whole heart and can’t wait to honor both of them on their special day.

(He/Him/His) Dan and Darwin met in middle school. Over the years they’ve had escapades across many states, and a few countries. They’ve laughed, they’ve cried… they’ve almost died (but thankfully we didn’t), so it’s hard to choose one favorite memory, but one of the more recent that Dan treasures was hosting Darwin for a visit and being able to watch their first stand up performance… and then going to their second stand up performance the same night. Dan is so honored to be a part of Darwin and Maddy’s special day and can’t wait to celebrate their love!

(She/Her/Hers) Hillary met Maddy through mutual friends in college and they would talk occasionally over a shared love of food. It wasn't until playing DnD together that they got to talking about more than just food and friends and she has become one of the best people Hillary knows. It took a few months of them dating before Hillary finally met Darwin and they quickly became one of my friends, mostly bonding over TTRPGS and Magic the Gathering. They are so kind and Hillary is so happy for them and Maddy as they continue their lives together.
