It’s happening this time!!

On 12/15/2018, Evan went to an Escape Room, thinking it would be just like any other escape room. Very wrong. He started getting an idea that something special was going on when everyone insisted that he be the one who opened the final safe that contained the key to “escape the room.” As with many things in life, things didn’t go exactly according to plan. Before he could open the safe, the owners of the Escape Room walked in with champagne and balloons. Evan was excited and did not understand why everyone was looking at him and not at the several bottles of champagne that just entered the room. Until eventually, someone remarked that Evan should maybe take a look in the safe in order to figure out what was going on. Once Evan opened the safe, he saw the ring and was overcome with emotion. So overcome, in fact, that he can’t exactly recall all the words that Mike said to him. Luckily, however, he heard the last several words “Will you marry me?”, to which he responded with a resounding “Yes!”

Mike was just about fed up with dating life and getting ready to delete the Tinder app. Evan had just passed the Certified Financial Planner exam, after spending over a year devoting his life to studying for it. One week after Evan passed the exam, he woke up on a Saturday morning and figured he’d give dating another try, now that he had the time to devote to a relationship again. That was one of the best decisions he had made in his life! Sparks immediately flew between the two of them. Mike knew that Evan liked jazz music and food, so he told Evan that their first date was going to be a surprise. Evan was elated when they pulled up to a jazz club he had been dying to try. He started getting the feeling that maybe this Mike guy was the real deal. The next day, Evan got into a minor car accident, and Mike left an event he had with his friends to instead have a picnic with Evan, followed by a movie, in order to take his mind off the otherwise stressful events of the day. Every day thereafter, Mike showed Evan his kind, thoughtful, and loving nature, making it easy for Evan to fall in love with this amazing and special person. It all goes to show that everything happens for a reason. If Mike had deleted Tinder, they never would have met. And if Evan waited any longer to dip his toes back into the dating pool, it may have been too late! Mike and Evan are both so happy for Tinder bringing them together, and for the love that they share.
