Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. Please no jeans! Our reception is in a backyard, but we still want everyone to dress up with us:)

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the ceremony.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one and/or children?

Answer

Any plus ones or children will be specified on the invitation.

Is the ceremony unplugged?

Answer

Yes. Please do not have your phones/cameras out during the ceremony, leave that to the professionals!

Can I post wedding videos/photos on social media?

Answer

Yes, post away, but please do not get in the way of the professionals! Also kindly keep it flattering for the sake of those pictured:)

Will the reception be outside?

Answer

The wedding reception will be in the backyard of the Troyer house. It will be in a covered tent with heat (weather dependent). You don't need to worry about rain! There will be bathroom trailers with multiple stalls for your convenience.

Where should I park for the reception?

More information to follow - but we will have multiple places to park so do not worry!

Is there an open bar?

Answer

The pole barn will be transformed into a bar with a bartender for your enjoyment. Please be respectful and responsible if you are participating in alcoholic consumption.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

If only we could predict the weather... The average weather on Oct 4th in Midland is a high of 66 degrees and a low of 46 degrees. Please plan accordingly! We will have a heater for the tent if needed.

What if I can't go to the ceremony but I can go to the reception or vice verse?

Answer

We want you to celebrate with us in any way that you can, so if you can attend one part of the wedding but not the other, that is a-okay! Please just specify this on your RSVP.

What is the best airport to use?

Answer

The closest airport is MBS International Airport. It is only about 20 minutes from town. Other options are FNT in Flint, MI (1 hour); LAN in Lansing, MI (1.5 hour); DTW in Detroit, MI (2 hour 15 min).
