We met at Coastal Carolina University in the Fall of 2015. Although, I had a massive crush on Brad and really wanted to date him, we remained friends for a long time. Brad needed a place to stay for the Fall 2017 semester, I offered him to live in my extra bedroom, and naturally I was thrilled when he said yes. I told my closest girl friends and my Mom I swore I would marry him. We became the best of friends and had so much fun together! Brad came home to New York with me for Christmas that year. We had a TON of fun and did all the winter activities my southern boy hadn't had in a long time. Our hearts really began to open up to each other and the rest is history!
We started looking at engagement rings in April 2018. Brad had secretly gone to Polly’s, bought the ring, and was waiting for the right moment. When we found out we were having Ava, our plans all changed! On August 3rd, 2018, Brad asked my dad for permission, went to Lewis’s (our favorite bbq place), then headed to downtown Charleston. With the help of some friends, Brad had planned and setup the most perfect engagement on a dock in one of the waterfront parks. Brad walked me out on the dock, spilled his heart out, and got down on one knee! I obviously said yes in a heartbeat!
