How we met!How we met!

First comes school then comes marriage

"William T. Brown Elementary was where our lives first crossed paths over 20 years ago. Who would have imagined that those innocent, foundational years would plant the seeds for a love story? Back then, Keith and Shirlee (Lauren’s sister) were classmates, while Lauren was just a grade younger. We didn’t know each other—only of each other. Fast forward two decades, life brought us back together in the most unexpected way. Lauren, a marketing agent for a live band, crossed paths with Keith, the band’s keyboard player. In a moment of serendipity, Keith exclaimed, 'I know your sister!' That connection—Shirlee—became the bridge to our love story. Without her, we might never have trusted each other enough to move beyond a simple introduction. That conversation turned into 20 minutes of catching up on life after elementary school, which turned into plans for brunch the next day. But brunch never happened. Instead, Keith invited Lauren to church, making our first date a Sunday service followed by Cold Stone ice cream. A year later, our greatest blessing arrived—our beautiful daughter, Gianna Graham. She is the embodiment of the love and connection we found in each other. From the moment we reconnected, we haven’t spent a single day apart. There is a scripture in the bible that states, "I have found the one whom my soul loves" (Song of Solomon 3:4). Keith stated, "Lauren is the anchor that holds me steady. With her, I have everything- love, grace, and a sense of home. She's my strength, my peace, and my forever." Lauren stated, "Keith is my greatest treasure, and I will never let him go. I will hold him close forever." What started as a faint memory from elementary school has become a bond that feels written in the stars. Our love is a testament to timing, faith, and the unseen threads that tie us together long before we even realize it. Along the way, we lost a cousin, mentor, and friend. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for a part of us went with you the day god called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. John, we love you and know you will be with us on this special day. May you rest in eternal peace! 🕊️🤍
