Back then, Keith and Shirlee (Lauren’s sister) were classmates, while Lauren was just a grade younger. We didn’t know each other—only of each other. Fast forward two decades, life brought us back together in the most unexpected way. Lauren, a marketing agent for a live band, crossed paths with Keith, the band’s keyboard player. In a moment of serendipity, Keith exclaimed, 'I know your sister!' That connection—Shirlee—became the bridge to our love story. Without her, we might never have trusted each other enough to move beyond a simple introduction. That conversation turned into 20 minutes of catching up on life after elementary school, which turned into plans for brunch the next day. But brunch never happened.
