Melanie - September 24, 2024 was baptism Sunday at church. As the Lord has been so gracious and grown me so much in recent years, I felt the call to be baptized as an adult. The week before, I asked for prayer from friends for two things - first, to have confidence sharing my testimony at baptism and second, to pray with me to meet a godly man to become my husband. Both came true the next week! Phil - I had just moved to Cincinnati from Wisconsin and had been feeling a strong calling from God to be baptized. I was baptized as a child, but since coming to Christ as an adult, it felt right to make this public declaration of my inner transformation as an adult. The next day after arriving in Cincinnati, I attended Northstar Community Church with my Mom and Dad, and learned of the upcoming baptism Sunday, in two weeks. I knew immediately what I was being called to do. On Baptism Sunday, pastor David called two names to the stage to share our testimony and be baptized. Low and behold I would be looking into the eyes of, and standing next to my future wife! As we shared the stage together, and shared our stories I had a strong premonition that we were being lead by God, for our paths to cross. It turns out many of our friends in the church, thought the same thing when they saw us together that day. The next week at church I asked Melanie if she would like to get together sometime, and we haven't looked back since.
