Adrian and I met sometime while we were both 15 and just looking our absolute best. Thriving you might say. See below for evidence. We both worked behind the scenes for many plays and musicals & insulted each other often, as is the norm. We got back in touch after college, invented our own video game, and ate many breakfast burritos together. Sadly, I was not feeling it and ghosted Adrian hard so I could date someone else. (He wrote a song about it, it's fine.) During the disaster that was 2020, Adrian and I started talking again, about faith and life and what it all looks like now. After many months of online flirting (mostly me), Adrian figured out that I was not trying to be friends. In November, Adrian and I spent a week in Hawaii visiting my dad & sister. We toured the beaches all over the island, kayaked, ate shrimp tacos, visited Chinatown, and stepped in the actual Godzilla footprints. Our last day there, Adrian was just the most stressed about finding the perfect beach. We ended up at a lagoon right across the street from my dad's house at sunset & he asked me to marry him 💜 So long story short: met in high school, dated in our 20s, finally figuring things out in our 30s!
