Who knew this online dating thing really worked? We initially connected and hit it off - then the big question - how will it be when we meet face-to-face? In an effort to cut to the chase, we met on Sunday, May 12 (the evening of Mother's Day) at Yard House, at Gulfstream, to grab a drink which was a success! Adrienne had her guard up but Ian was forthcoming and persistent - something she had never experienced before. A few weeks later, after spending the entire Memorial Day weekend together, and realizing their mutual quirkiness, love for Karate Kid, karaoke & tearin' up a dance floor, they both realized they were onto something.

We traveled to Denver to celebrate Adrienne's 40th birthday, as a birthday trip was an annual tradition for her. After a few days exploring Denver, we headed north to Estes Park as we planned to spend her birthday in Rocky Mountain National Park. Ian had done his research on the best places we needed to visit in the park, one of them Bear Lake. When we arrived at Bear Lake, which was frozen over, because well January in Colorado, Ian suggested we walk to the center of the ice #noclue. He was setting up his camera to record video, which he did throughout the entire trip, so he could capture some good still images. When he headed back over to Adrienne, he told her to be present in the moment and mentioned that he could feel Hetty's presence with us. He then got down on one knee and asked her to marry him (try beating that birthday Ian)! We always knew the other was out there, and agree it was definitely worth the wait!
