Michael and Alyssa met in 2009 at Widener University. Mike was a sophomore and Alyssa was a freshmen. Alyssa and her lifelong friend Tara went to one of their first college parties..a toga party in fact. Alyssa remembers the exact moment she saw Mike like it was yesterday. She walked onto the dance floor and looked straight ahead, where it felt like the crowd separated, and there was Mike...dressed in normal clothes. Alyssa and Mike soon realized they had mutual friends and the sparks flew from there. Alyssa and Mike stayed up all night talking outside of her dorm. As the sun started to rise, Michael tried to go in for the first kiss. Surely enough, Alyssa moved away and said "nope..not yet." They spent the upcoming months getting to know one another. What started as a college fling turned into their perfect love story. The rest was history.
Alyssa and Mike continued their relationship through their college careers at Widener. Their college nights were filled with laughter, friends, and moments they will never forget. After Mike graduated with his Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, he accepted a position in Douglasville, Pennsylvania. Alyssa continued her college career at Widener pursuing her Bachelors/Masters in Education. Alyssa and Mike would travel back and forth on weekdays and weekends to spend time together. After Alyssa graduated with her Bachelors/Masters in Education, Mike accepted a position at Boeing. They continued their travels between Jersey and PA. Shortly after, Mike transitioned into a new position at Sikorsky in Milford, Connecticut. Although this was a big change for their relationship, it was one of their most fond experiences. This opportunity gave them the chance to pursue their individual careers and experience traveling together. Their days in Connecticut created amazing memories that they will forever be grateful for. After 14 months in Connecticut, Mike accepted a contracted position with Boeing as a Stress Analyst. That same year, Alyssa accepted a contracted position with Wallingford Swarthmore School District as a Special Education Teacher. Their careers were off and running, and they were back together with their family and friends like no time had passed. Throughout their relationship they have experienced many unforgettable milestones full of love, laughter and support for one another.
Family and Friends are what Mike and Alyssa value most in life. Their best memories are with their loved ones by their sides. With this in mind, Mike thought of the exact way he wanted to propose. At the Annual Christmas party, with their friends and family. Each year, Alyssa and Mike help to set up for the party. The day is spent cooking all of their favorite dishes, decorating the house, and opening presents. It is their tradition to get a picture in front of the Christmas tree each year. The moment came, and to Alyssa's surprise, Mike smiled for the picture and then got down on one knee to say, Alyssa Stamoulis will you marry me? With everyone clapping and cheering, Alyssa was filled with tears of happiness and fell down to hug Mike repeatedly saying yes. The smiles stayed on their faces all night and their hearts were filled with so much joy. The party continued into the night with so much to celebrate.
After 12 years together, Alyssa and Michael could not be happier to experience the next chapter with their family and friends. Their love is truly something special. They can't wait to celebrate their love with you on July, 3rd, 2021 as husband and wife!
