Where is the venue located ?

Answer

The Watermill is located at 711 Smithtown Bypass in Smithtown, NY. That's about a 45 minute drive east from Floral Park and a 25 minute drive east from the Huntington area. Formal directions are as follows: Heading East: Take the Cross Island Parkway North (if needed) to the Northern State Parkway East. Follow that highway to NY-347 East to Catherine Avenue. Keep left to continue on NY-347 East and follow signs for Port Jefferson. Turn right on Catherine Avenue to reach the destination. The Watermill is located on the corner of the intersection with two entrances.

Is there a discounted rate for hotels?

Yes, The Courtyard by Marriott in Ronkonkoma is offering a group rate for guests attending the wedding. Booking link can be found on the Travel page by clicking the "view" button. Any other hotels you may be reserving during your stay aside from that location will not have discounted rates.

How many nights should I book at the Courtyard Marriott?

Answer

Close family and friends of the bride are invited to book two nights at the Courtyard Marriott if they are interested, as she will be staying there on Friday, January 10th before the big day.

Will there be transportation from the hotel to the venue?

Answer

Yes, the hotel is located 15 minutes from the venue and a free shuttle service will be offered to and from the venue on Saturday, January 11th. Specific times are to be determined closer to the date. The venue will provide valet parking for those guests choosing to drive, and of course, you are welcome to use your own form of transportation via Uber/Taxi as you see fit. Please note that if you happen to miss the final shuttle, you will need to find your own transportation back to the hotel.

Will there be an after party when the wedding ends?

Yes. The wedding ends at 11:30 pm and a cash bar after party will take place at Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill located across the parking lot of the Courtyard Marriott Hotel from 12:00 am to 2:00 am.

Will I need cash for the bar?

Answer

The wedding will be open bar, but the after party at the hotel will be a cash bar. Either way, it's always smart to tip your bartenders!
