Finally on July 5, 2024, Mike got down on one knee in the best way possible! Let's set the scene. We were in San Diego, a place neither of us had been, enjoying SeaWorld. We decided we wanted to do the Sloth encounter. Katie is obsessed with sloths; they are her spirit animal. As it was their turn to go stand, pet and hangout with the sloth, Mike taped Katie on the shoulder to get her attention. Then well the rest was magical. He had asked her mother for her hand in marriage, and both had agreed the best way was next to the sloth. A sweet message was said, SHE SAID YES and here we are planning our dream wedding!
