They say that you’ve probably met your soulmate, but didn’t know it at the time. For us this proves to be true, considering we met twice. We originally met at a Lamar High School football game in 2008 and then years later through a mutual friend in 2016. After inquiring about the cute friend that he saw on his friends snapchat story he asked for her “snap” and from there we haven’t stopped talking.

A week prior to the big day, we did a challenge from our “Couple’s Adventure Challenge Book”. The challenge stated that we had to plan a date according to each other’s love language, and we had a week to make this happen. So, fast forward a week. He had a scavenger hunt planned that took me to some of our first dates, with the last clue leading to the Fort Worth Water Gardens, where we had our first picnic. As I walked around the corner he was down on one knee with a sign and picnic prepared in “our spot.” Of course, the answer was “YES!” We are so excited to share this next chapter in our lives with you!
