Lawrence's version of the story is a little different than mine, Lol. If he could tell his version of how we met he would say that he and I locked eyes one day as we were leaving our student apartment building and it was love ever since. My version goes a little bit differently...Lawrence originally introduced himself to me online on one of my social media profiles. I gave him a chance after I realized he was very diligent on taking me out on a date. On this date (A great date I might add) I found out that we both lived in the same student apartment building and he would see me all the time but never wanted to approach me. So, when he finally mustered up the courage to approach me and ask me out it was the beginning of our forever and we have been in love since!
We went to New Orleans for the weekend because Lawrence told me his family was having a get together. Fast forward to that Saturday, I noticed he was acting very strange and jittery. As time approached for us to get ready for his family function I noticed we were getting a bit "dressed up" but I just went with the flow and continued getting dressed. We left the hotel and made our way toward the French Quarter and I'm looking at him like "Where are we going?". He then proceeds to tell me we are actually going on a date night and he wanted it to be special. We go to park in the parking lot and I am met by a man who is singing my favorite love song, Brian McKnight- Still In Love, the tears instantly started to fall. As we both walk over to Jackson Square I then see all of our closest family and friends standing there with their cameras. It was at that moment that I knew. I then turned around to see our two beautiful baby boys wearing shirts that said "Mommy, Daddy has a question...Will you Marry Me?" and when I turned back around there he was on one knee in front of everyone asking me to be his wife! My answer was yes then and it still is yes now. Can’t wait to be Mrs. Clovis... See you at the altar ❤️
