We’re tying the knot!

As we were standing in the lawn of what used to be called Klipsch music center, Nicholas was enjoying ancouple of Coronas and we were just enjoying the music and good company around us. Nicholas then whispered into my ear “i have been wanting to tell you something, but i wanted to wait for the perfect moment... this moment is perfect so i wanna tell you that I love you.” And then kissed me on the ear and went back to emjoying the music and dancing. The butterflies that filled my stomach were the best feeling ever and to this day, i still get those tiny little butterflies when he says those three favorite words to me. ❤️

Well, I thought I was just going to the Casino with my grandma for my 21st birthday, which was the plan ever since I was a young teenage girl. Little did I know, I’d get to say yes to spending forever with the love of my life. As i was getting ready, my grandma and sister kept stalling and making excuses and my sister was taking FOREVER to get ready, which is oretty typical for Caitlin. So we finally get to leave for the casino, and grandma makes yet another stall, at the liquor store. She anticipated it would take a lot longer for me to pick out a drink , so she insisted that i walked ever aisle of the liquor store. Once we finally got done memorizing where each drink was, we cashed out and headed to the casino, finally. Once we get there, my grandma went all the way to the top of the parking garage, which she said was so she didnt lose the car by the end of the night. She parked two spots away from the door, yet told me to get back in the car so she could park closer to the door. Once she went around the corner, all i could see was the love of my life and all of my famity and friends staring at us, holding happy birthday signs. I thought to myself “wow, my very first surprise birthday party, he is the best, but how was he so sneaky?!” He asked me if i liked all the signs and the ballons then told me he had one more sign for me. I then turned to see my soon to be sister-in-law holding a sign that said “Danni, will you spend the rest of your birthdays with me?” Instantly i turned to him and saw him down on one knee holding the most beautiful ring id ever seen. Bawling like a baby in excitement, all i could manage to get out of my mouth was “YES” as confetti, balloons, tears of joy and laughter overwhelmed us as we celebrated for the rest of the evening with all of our loved ones.

We went in for a quick breakfast one morning before heading to the race track, and Nick loves to joke with employees everywhere we go. It keeps them on their toes, and gives them something to laugh about. So he and i are fake joking around and he looks at the worker and says “Can you tell we’re married?” (Which is his favorite one-liner to people he doesnt know). This employee got this absolute shock/dumbfounded look on her face and said “I thought you guys were related.” TALK ABOUT AN AWKWARD RESPONSE. He laid off that joke for awhile.
