Woodinville Wine Country
One of our favorite pastimes is wine tasting in Woodinville. Some of our favorites include Dusted Valley, Matthews, Ambassador, Obelisco, Torii Mor, Goose Ridge, and Gorman. Novelty Hill-Januik isn't bad either, and it happens to be where we're getting married! If you're in the mood for food, we'd suggest dinner at Barking Frog, upscale game-day food at Village Wines, brunch at The Commons, or a late lunch at Purple Wine Bar. Ethan Stowell Restaurants
Sam's longtime favorite Seattle restaurateur. We've been to almost all of them, but we love Goldfinch Tavern and Anchovies & Olives the most. Really yummy! Check it out if you have the time! Update January 2018: RIP Anchovies & Olives!
Pie Bar
We love pie! Pie Bar's Ballard location is actually supplying our wedding pies. This Capitol Hill location is just a block away from Sam's old apartment. Tiny, but they have a takeout window!
Tavern Law
This is the cocktail bar where we met! Pretty good little bar, though I feel like it used to be better. Good cocktails, laid back atmosphere. What more could you ask for? Lol. They also have a "secret" bar upstairs called Needle & Thread, and you need to use the phone on the wall to get upstairs. Very small, though, and requires a reservation.
Kedai Makan
Sam's second kitchen. No joke. Say you're one of Sam's friends and you'll be their new best friend. Right next door to Sam's old apartment, where she used to go 2-3 times a week!
