They say "when you know, you know." We can confidently say that we dove into our relationship head first after our first date and never looked back! Kelsey first caught Jon's eye on the dating app, Hinge, where he initially liked a picture of her and her dad at a Phillies game. Within one evening of conversing online, Kelsey boldly asked Jon if he wanted to meet in person, and they decided to meet at Independence Beer Garden in Old City, Philadelphia the very next day. After a few drinks, the night continued with a stroll through Old City and a stop at Buddakan for a cocktail and some food. They weren't ready to go home quite yet! They spent the evening talking about work, healthcare, the Jersey shore, travel, Philly sports and their desire to soon start a family. They had their first kiss at the end of the night in front of Independence Hall. Ten days later, Jon asked Kelsey to be his girlfriend at his family's shore house in Ventnor City, New Jersey. They have since traveled to Martha's Vineyard, Iceland and Hawaii together. Jon loves to cook and has a green thumb which makes Kelsey’s life a beautiful and delicious breeze! Kelsey likes to take on the tasks of cleaning and housekeeping which can sometimes feel impossible while Jon works from home all day and Kelsey is in the office. Undoubtedly, Kelsey settles for the trade off of delicious homemade meals three times a day and has learned not to complain. Together, Kelsey and Jon can usually be found at an early morning gym class, exploring new hiking trails, supporting local Collingswood businesses, meeting friends at one of the many nearby breweries or wineries, or planning their next backpacking adventure!

Jon and Kelsey discussed plans for their future on a cold winter night in January, and quickly became excited and serious about making their plans a reality. Their next adventure was going to be marriage! After they got their parents’ blessing and before Jon even had the ring, they went venue shopping. As the weeks went by and they continued to plan their dream day, Kelsey became impatient because she was still waiting on the official proposal! In true Jon form, he threw Kelsey off his trail and planned an intimate, surprise backyard proposal with her parents and close friends the night after Valentine’s Day. And now, the major wedding details are arranged and they have started planning their honeymoon, which will be eight magnificant weeks backpacking through Asia. There is talk of a dog in their future when they return! They can't wait to live out their dreams with one another as best friends.
