YES.
Look, friends, we aren’t super happy about this either. We wanna be married. Hard. But… We want everybody to be safe and together so when Disney gave us yet another delay we understood. And then they straight up cancelled and we found another magical castle! We truly hope you can make it and we are so sorry for the inconvenience.
It’s a 4:30pm wedding, it’s formal/ black tie. It’s also Victoria and Michael’s wedding and it’s at a REAL castle. Please don’t Cosplay or anything, but feel free to add a flower crown, glitter pocket square, or that one thing in your closet you’ve been dying to put on. (But white for The Bride only please.)
Yes! Victoria can’t eat anything normal and does food-centric plays off Broadway for a living. We’ve got you. Just let us know what you need with your menu choice on your RSVP. Cocktail hour might be a little tricky, but waiters will know the ingredients to each dish and be able to help you out.
We want your kids to be a part of our wedding weekend but also understand if you want an adult getaway! (We love your kids but, we get it.) We will not have childcare, however, so that's on you. If your children are joining you for the weekend but not the ceremony/reception, please only RSVP for yourselves. Please also feel free to just bring your child to the farewell brunch. Just give us numbers accordingly. **all invited adults will be vaccinated so kiddos should be safe!
We talked about a lot of variations, including combining our names (Soodgett just rolls of the tongue, doesn’t it?) but in the end we decided to go traditional. Victoria will keep “Victoria Rae Sook” professionally and will be legally changing her last name to Padgett. (And is pretty excited to have a “love that let’s us share our name.”)
Sadly, no. They will stay in NYC, but there are some pretty cute photos of them on this website.
Short answer, No. If you use our hotel block We will get you to and from your hotel to the the castle. If you plan to explore more of the area- maybe?
Our dream is Paris and London, with a quick trip to Scotland as well. We, however, have no idea what the world will look like in April at this point in time. So, that trip will happen someday and it will be our honeymoon, crossed fingers, right after the wedding!
We really hope not. We also hope to have the reception in the ballroom. However, the castle is letting us pick 2 days before and we can have the reception on the terrace if we need to. We will keep you safe! Which is also why everyone must present a negative covid test.
