They met in the tutoring lab in college. Daquinton was a math tutor, and Jordan was an English and Law tutor. And frankly, Daquinton is probably the only reason Jordan even graduated (she's very bad at math). Though Jordan was a little older, graduated first and went off to Dallas to start her adult life, they never lost touch. There are years of snapchats, dog pictures, meme's and even a podcast that document their friendship. But in 2021 everything changed. By this time, both had gone through heartbreaking endings to their previous relationships. There were other bumps in the road, but they supported one another through them all. Several friends and coworkers had bets on how long it would take; both their families had adopted the other, whether or not they were a couple. It just became understood that where one went, the other would also follow and one day DQ showed up at Jordan's door with a sappy promposal style poster that asked 'Will You be my GF?' in fake rose petals, (the back side was pink and sparkly for extra points) to make it official. Jordan, a lover of Disney movies and romance books (she's a princess, so what do you expect?), couldn't say no, knowing he was the only man who hadn't run away screaming after a few years. It took some getting used to, but now they can't imagine life without each other (DQ is not a hostage, we promise) and look forward to their Happily Ever After. They may have done a few things out of order - Jordan insisted on a house first (iykyk)- but they plan to annoy each other for the rest of eternity. DQ with Dad jokes and Jordan with Princess Puns. Disney couldn't have written a better love story.
