We met during Danielle's first day of work as she was being introduced to her new coworkers. Jose was casually at his desk acting uninterested to meet the new hire. As time went on in that first month, Jose made it a priority to help Danielle get all set up in her office (she just thought it was part of his job). After about a month of getting to know each other, Jose transferred jobs to Minnesota, but the story doesn't stop here...

The couple kept in touch and during a trip back to Nebraska on 7/7/17, Jose enlisted the help of his faithful pup, Buzz, to ask Danielle to be his girlfriend. Danielle and Jose continued to fall in love from 450 miles away, making trips across the great (desolate) expanse to see each other. Jose couldn't stand to be apart from Danielle (or maybe it was the other way around?) for any longer, so he moved back to Nebraska and they were together once more! Stay tuned (it gets better)...

On live TV...yes, you read that right! One fateful morning (a very early morning), while Danielle was preparing for a news segment, Jose had a surprise up his tux sleeve. Danielle got all set up to answer viewer questions and got a pleasant surprise when her parents came on the screen. Jose had arranged for Danielle's parents to record and send in a sweet video to play on air right before the news anchors lifted up a giant box he had been hiding under on one knee. Jose recited a poem that he had written for Danielle that goes a little something like this: The moon in the sky, may light up the night but the sparkle in your eyes, make my days bright Your heart is pure, full of infinite love and so kind You and me belong together, Danielle, our love is a bind You be the Beauty, and I'll be the Beast On this Heart Awareness February Would you make my heart eternally healthy, and marry me? I'm not crying, you're crying. P.S. She said yes!
