Things we have done and recommend
John Ball Zoo
This is one of our favorite places to go and walk around. We are both huge animal lovers.
Broad Leaf Brewery & Spirits - Kentwood
This is where we love to hang out and grab food and drinks on dates. It is our neighborhood brewery.
Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park
This is our first date spot. This is also where I met Kevin's sister, Meagan, and we went to Red Robin for burgers afterwards.
Founder's Brewing Company
This is where Kevin currently works, he is a cellarman. They have great beer and good sandwiches!
The Reptarium
We went on opening night after watching Brian (the founder) on YouTube for a couple years together. We had a blast holding large snakes.
Frankenmuth Brewery
We made a whole day out of going through this Xmas town here in MI.
Chicago Shedd Aquarium
We loved going here and seeing all the exhibits. If it was closer we would go here as often as the zoo.
Navy Pier
One of my favorite spots in Chicago, there is a Ferris wheel at the end with a view of Lake Michigan.
Off Color Brewing Taproom The Mousetrap
We had abstract craft beer here and I loved it. They barrel age beer in different styles of barrels and use wine barrels. They had one called a fox in the snow that I had to bring home it was so good. Sadly it was a one off seasonal beer and we had caught it at the right time.
Interlochen State Park
This is one of our favorite camping places. Right by the beach is perfect for sunbathing or throwing a ball for the pup.
Mackinaw Island Brewery
We had the best time when we went to the island. We brought toby and he loved it, he walked most the time but he got tired and wanted his backpack. This is the first time we started calling him the backpack dog.
