Two things they both said they would never do: date someone off of social media and have a long distance relationship. Well..as you can see NEVER SAY NEVER. During the pandemic it caused people to utilize the internet more than ever before especially facebook. While scrolling through many posts Maurice landed on a post that Jasmine’s app was opened to and that began the plight to the DMs. A friendly conversation about meatloaf and bacon wrapped asparagus turned into a trip to the DMV and the rest was history! From a facebook like to love!

On 12/25/2021 Maurice traveled to New Jersey to share Christmas with Jasmine and her family. Before Christmas dinner began and the guest arrived Maurice decided to present Jasmine with her Christmas gifts. He presented three gifts she mentioned throughout the course of their courtship. She gave him the biggest smile and then presented him with his gifts. Maurice decided to place the gifts upstairs to ensure the house was neat for the arriving guest. Once the guest arrived and finished dinner they started gift giving and Jasmine was so excited to share with her family the gifts Maurice showered her with. She ran upstairs to retrieve them and began showing them off and when she got to the last gift she shared this one was her favorite. That's when it happened out of nowhere Maurice states "wait there's one more gift". He walks up to Jasmine and gets down on one knee in front of her friends and family and ask her to be his wife and she happily shouted "YES"!
