Millennium Park
If you have time to visit Chicago, we'd recommend going to Millennium Park. The famous "bean" sculpture is located in this park.
Culver's
Great service and even better food! It's not to be missed while you're in town! Culver’s is famous for their ButterBurger, which is made to order and Fresh Frozen Custard which is crafted throughout the day. They also have hand-battered North Atlantic Cod, a crispy chicken sandwich, and genuine Wisconsin Cheese Curds which are to die for! Their crinkle cut fries are also delicious!!
Big Ed's BBQ & Bar
They offer some of the best barbeque Lake County has tasted in a very long time. All of the meat is seasoned with their special dry rub and slow smoked in their barbeque pit with seasoned hickory wood. All the food is made in house from scratch daily. Big Ed has won best rib tips and pulled pork in the North Chicago Rib Cook Off, was featured on WGN and ABC 7 and voted best BBQ in Chicagoland by 670 The Score.
Independence Grove
Whether you want to fish, paddle solo or take the family for a bike or boat ride, the marina at Independence Grove Forest Preserve has a variety of bikes, boats and other small watercraft to choose from. You can rent fishing boats, canoes, kayaks, stand up paddleboards, and pedal boats. You can also rent comfort bikes, quadracycles and adaptive trikes. Approved flotation gear and bike helmets are provided.
Kuma's Corner
We have had some of the BEST burgers at Kuma's! They're a gourmet burger bar that names all of their menu items after heavy metal bands. They have 16 unique and different burgers to choose from on the menu. In addition, every month they have a special rotating Burger of the Month! They also feature an extensive thirty-two tap Draft Beer system!

Ashley's favorite sushi spot in Illinois! They offer different variations on authentic Thai & Japanese cuisine that is unique and yet traditional. Their menu includes Sushi & Thai curries, noodles, rice dishes, and house specialties! They have fresh fish every day and their style of fusion with Sushi & Thai just brings joy to your taste buds.
