I first laid eyes on Omid on Thursday, February 14th, 2019, at a Valentine's day single gay night bingo hosted by my friend, Mark. The following Saturday, I saw Omid again at a game night. All night, I found myself trying to catch his eye, but somehow, it never happened. Then, around 11:30'sh, as everyone was getting ready to leave the clubhouse, I finally gathered the courage to ask him about his plans for the next day. He told me he had none. I asked if he wanted to meet me at Pacific Place for the movie, The Shape of Water. He agreed. We exchanged numbers, and that same night, way passed midnight, Omid texted to make sure I made it home safely and wished me goodnight. In that simple gesture, I knew I had found someone special. We met at the theater as planned, and in the middle of the movie, he rested his head on my shoulder. Before long, we kissed. From that moment, our adventure began. Once I got home from our movie date, I told Saul that I had met someone who felt different, someone I wanted to fall in love with. Saul, always a voice of good will, told me to chase my dreams and make it happen because I deserved someone as wonderful as Omid. That advice stuck with me, and I’m so glad I took it to heart. Over the past eight years, we've shared countless adventures, ups and downs, and made the best of each moment together. Omid has been my compass, guiding me to a place where life feels fuller than I ever imagined. We've journeyed across the globe, spent summers camping at Mountain Lake in Orcas Island, and enjoyed quiet, peaceful days at home with our precious beloved dogs, Coco and Lili. We complement each other in ways I never thought possible, and I can't wait for our wedding day, when we’ll gather our closest family and friends under one roof to celebrate our commitment to each other for life. And, if there's a better life after this one, my deepest hope is that Omid and I continue this adventure together, even then. Welcome to our wedding website!
