Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

02.21.2026 at Villa D'Este Luxury Villas and Events Place in Tagaytay, Cavite, Philippines.

Question

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than 08.21.2025 (6 months before the wedding).

Question

When do I need to arrive in the Philippines?

Answer

We strongly recommend arriving in the Philippines no later than 02.19.2026 to account for unforeseen delays. Please book a hotel for an overnight stay in Manila. The scheduled van ride to Tagaytay will be on 02.20.2026, and we will have one common pickup location (please see the recommended hotels).

Question

When do I need to book my flight tickets?

Answer

To get the cheapest flight rates for a February 19, 2026, arrival in the Philippines, it’s generally best to book your flight 6 to 8 months in advance. So, for a February 2026 arrival, booking your tickets between June and August 2025 would give you a good chance of securing the best deals. Here are a few additional tips to help you get the best price: Book on a Tuesday or Wednesday: Airlines often release sales and discounts early in the week, and flights tend to be cheaper mid-week. Set up price alerts: Use Google Flights to track fares and set up alerts for price drops. This will help you book at the right time. Be flexible with travel dates: If you can adjust your travel dates slightly, you may find cheaper options. For example, flying a day or two earlier or later could save you money. Take advantage of layover stops: If your flight has a layover, consider planning a segment trip by exploring the layover city. This could save you money on your total trip and allow you to visit another destination.

Question

I just arrived in MNL airport, what now?

Answer

Welcome to the Philippines! Here are a few things that might help make your travels in the country fun and comfortable: Heavy Luggage: If you have heavy luggage, you will find men who will offer to assist with carrying your bags. Their service is not free, but it is affordable—usually costing $3 per piece of luggage. Use this service for your convenience. They will even help you push your cart to the pick-up area. They only accept Philippine Peso cash. Exchange Money at the Airport: I recommend exchanging some money at the airport, as some small shops or booths may not accept credit cards. Get a Local SIM Card: This will save you hundreds of dollars on phone service. SMART and GLOBE are the recommended phone service providers. You can find them at the arrival area. They offer different postpaid plans depending on your needs (unlimited data, text, calls, and the number of days you will need the service). The SIM card is free with a paid postpaid plan, and they only accept Philippine Peso cash. Note that you need an unlocked phone to use a local sim card. Thirsty? Do not drink tap water or service water in the Philippines. Always opt for bottled water to stay safe. Be Mindful of Your Belongings: Keep your bags within sight at all times and be aware of your surroundings. Street Vendors: Be cautious of people trying to sell you things on the street—it's best to ignore them. There are plenty of shopping opportunities in malls, where you can find most of what you need for your travels.

Question

How do I get a ride from MNL airport to my hotel?

Answer

Grab: Grab is an easy way to book a ride in Metro Manila (similar to Uber/Lyft). Make sure to download the app before your flight. Prepare Philippine peso cash in case the app doesn't accept your credit card on file. Scheduled Pickup from a Trusted Rental Car Service: Please arrange this before your flight to the Philippines. Hotel Pickup: Some hotels provide a pickup service. Please contact your hotel for more information. Be sure to arrange this before your flight to the Philippines. IMPORTANT NOTE: We do not recommend taking taxis at the airport, as they cannot always be trusted.

Question

How do I get to Tagaytay from Metro Manila?

Answer

A trusted van ride will be provided at 10:00 AM on 02/20/2026 to transport guests from Manila to Tagaytay. There is only one pick-up hotel location, and we recommend that our guests stay at the same hotel in Manila for convenience.

Question

Does everyone speak English in the Philippines?

Answer

While English is one of the official languages of the Philippines and is widely spoken, not everyone may be fluent or comfortable using it in daily conversations. English is primarily used in business, education, government, and media. Most urban areas, such as Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao, have a high number of English speakers, especially among younger generations and professionals. In rural or less-developed areas, you might find that people are more comfortable speaking Filipino (Tagalog) or other local languages like Cebuano, Ilocano, or Hiligaynon. However, even in these areas, many people can still understand basic English, especially if you're speaking slowly and clearly. So, while English is commonly understood, it's always helpful to learn a few key phrases in Filipino or the local dialect if you're traveling to more remote places.

Question

How do I get around Manila?

Answer

'Grab' rides are a preferred and safe option for getting around Manila. Please download the app and prepare Philippine peso cash.

Question

How do I get around in Tagaytay, Philippines?

Answer

For your convenience, we recommend booking a rental car with a driver from a trusted rental company. 'Grab' (similar to Uber/Lyft) rides are also available in Tagaytay and can be used by guests who would like to explore the area. Please remember to download the app and prepare Philippine peso cash. Another option is asking your hotel concierge to arrange a taxi ride for you.

Question

How do I go back to Manila after the wedding?

Answer

We will provide a one-time van ride from Tagaytay to Manila on 02/22/2025, departing after checkout (12:00 PM). Please plan accordingly. There will be one designated drop-off point, which will be selected based on the majority's preferred location.

Question

Do I need a visa to visit the Philippines if I have a US or European passport?

Answer

If you have a U.S. or European passport, you do not need a visa for a short stay in the Philippines for tourism purposes. U.S. Passport Holders: U.S. citizens can stay in the Philippines for up to 30 days without a visa. If you plan to stay longer, you can extend your stay for an additional 29 days, and further extensions are possible. European Passport Holders: Citizens of most European countries can also stay in the Philippines for up to 30 days without a visa. This is typically applicable to Schengen Area countries and other European nations. Similar to U.S. citizens, you can extend your stay if necessary. However, when entering, you may be asked for the following: Return Ticket: Proof of onward travel (a return or onward ticket out of the Philippines).

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please contact the couple directly.

For all the days along the way
