***Important Travel Update***
With our wedding quickly approaching, we wanted to reach out regarding recent news coverage about travel to Mexico. We completely understand that safety is top of mind & we want you to know that your well-being is our priority. Our venue, Secrets/Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort is located in the state of Nayarit, which is currently under a Level 2 travel advisory (“Exercise Increased Caution”). This is NOT a “do not travel” designation & is consistent with many popular international destinations. The resort is situated in a private, gated community & maintain strong security measures for guests. We feel completely safe moving forward! We’re also aware that there is a lot of conflicting information circulating online. We don't doubt how scary February 22nd must have been for people. However, since then, we have been following locals & seeing/hearing how the beautiful area has bounced back & is functioning as usual. Weddings have continued & restaurants in the city remain full of locals & tourists. Algorithms tend to feed us more of what we search & engage with, whether positive or negative, which can sometimes amplify fear or misinformation. Wedding Attire
Rehearsal Dinner Attire: We kindly suggest wearing shades of green to the rehearsal dinner, whether as your main attire or incorporated through accessories, both are welcome. Men: Suits or a button-down shirt with dress shoes. Women: Cocktail or flowy dresses paired with heels or dressy sandals. Wedding Day Attire: We kindly request guests wear black or any shade of red (maroon, crimson, blush, or pink). Men: Suits or tuxedos with dress shoes. Women: Elegant midi or floor-length dresses with heels or dressy sandals. To allow the bride & groom their moment, we ask that guests refrain from wearing white or ivory.
