Our love story- His version

She told me to take a picture for her "mom", but she really just wanted it for herself

I decided to try my hand at online dating, and it was going terrible. I even met a woman on there that could only be described as "armed and dangerous". I did not want to relive that situation so I decided to use my middle name, "Khalid", to leave some anonymity. The very next day, God would deliver my biggest blessing to date<-----double entendre. I saw a smiling young lady and her dog, and she happened to be an Atlanta Braves fan. I had to swipe right. To my pleasant suprise, she returned the favor and swiped right as well. The conversation the seamless, and truly a breath of fresh air. Another lonesome Valentine's Day had just passed for me, and I was determined to let it be my last. I wanted to go for a hike at Kennesaw Mountain, so I invited Kimberly to accompany me. During the drive, I was reminded of the bad experience with Ms. Armed and Dangerous and thought to myself, maybe meeting this woman in the woods, on a mountain, with little to no witnesses might just be a bad idea. I couldn't have been more wrong. We walked, talked, and got to know each other better. At the top of the mountain, she asked me to take a picture so she could show her mom.....anybody in my age group knows, " yeah right, I'm about to be today's group chat topic." Once we got back to our car, Kim gave me a "church hug" and told me bye before I could even ask her for another date. Rude, but I kept my wits about myself and asked her out later that week. Kimberly never lets me go a day feeling unloved or unheard. She's been my light in my darkest hour. I've grown closer to God, but I never knew I would get the opportunity to see Him in her eyes. I'm excited to be a dog dad and witness our love grow together from this day forward.

Our love story- Her version

He didnt tell me how things went after the first date

We met on an online dating site- Bumble. I swiped left so many times, that my finger felt awkward swiping right on Khalid. Khalid and I conversed for a couple of weeks and he eventually called. My caller ID said Omari Brown and not Khalid so I was confused. 🚩 He said his real name is Omari, but used Khalid as an alias for online dating. Omari asked if I wanted to go hiking with him Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Kennesaw Mountain. I agreed. As soon as I got out the car at Kennesaw Mountain, I said, "oh he looks even better in person." The conversation was organic and took off. As we walked down the mountain, I said, "oh this may not be safe." What if this man is out of his mind!? After hiking, Omari walked me to my car and I told him I had a great time. He said, "let me know when you make it home." I had no idea if I botched the 1st date, but it was soon after he was calling and texting. We then went on date after date and I soon realized this man isn't crazy. Omari is my best friend, lover, confidant, prayer partner, travel partner and has even stepped in as a dog Daddy. Looking forward to our lives being intertwined as one.
