Our Story 🤍

THE CHASE Upon their few encounters at Grace Español, Omar had first noticed Tatis’s smile and eyes. But it was in her nature that summer to play hard to get. . . The chase was worth it for Omar though, he slid in her DM's and Tatis–who had needed a little convincing at first–agreed. Little did she know that only six months later, her “yes” would be the catalyst of their lifelong happiness. THE CATCH On July 6, 2023, Omar took Tatis to her natural habitat: a coffee shop, where she and Omar had their first date at Spill The Beans in downtown Greenville. Sick with a cold? That didn’t keep her from the date she had prayed over only hours prior. And not only did Omar treat her to a cup of coffee but surprised her with a gift bag of cold and flu medicine, foretelling his lasting commitment to her wellbeing. Following the most perfect date the two could ever have imagined, Tatis exclaimed to both her friends and her sister, Hady, that she’d just had coffee with her future husband. THE PROPOSAL January 27, 2024, amid the pouring rain on that cold, January Saturday, Omar revisited Spill The Beans with Tatis and took her for a walk that would change their lives forever. Under her umbrella, she watched as her best friend got on one knee and presented her with a promise to love her for all his life. At the surprise party that awaited them on the other side of town, friends and family from both sides of their relationship came together to celebrate the newly engaged couple. It was obvious that God had brought these two families and individuals together with unending support and love for Tatis and Omar. THE MARRIAGE On Saturday, October 26, the two will vow their commitment to one another, surrounded with those same friends and family members at Intertwined Acres. Their mission moving forward as newlyweds is to continue serving the Lord together and preparing to build a family of their own in the years to come. The two will move into their brand-new home in Lyman following their honeymoon to Tennessee. They hope to continue their hobbies playing pickleball, riding bikes on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, and pursuing more travel.
