We’re getting married!

We met in 8th grade math class when we were just becoming teenagers. Life happened, years went by and we still remained friends. Fast forward to our senior year of high school.... the stars finally aligned and we began dating when Omar "needed help" with Spanish 3! We have been inseparable ever since!

Omar and I had made plans on a Monday night to meet up with our close friends, Deana and Caleb, at a restaurant in Brevard. Since we go on double dates with them so frequently, this did not seem unusual to me. On our way up to Brevard, Omar wanted to stop by Quixote (the restaurant we both had worked at during college) to pick up our last check. As we walk into Quixote, I see an elegant, candle-lit table in the middle of the restaurant and I hear my favorite song begin to play. At this point, I knew something was up. Then, I see my family and friends walk out from the back of the restaurant. As I turn around, Omar is down on one knee with the most beautiful pear-shaped, rose gold ring I had ever seen! And of course, I said YES! We are so excited for our wedding day and cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you all!
