Ayo and I met through Deola who I met through my cousin Bunmi. We met around the end of 2021. She told me she was a matchmaker, and she can set me up. I didn’t think too much of it. A few months later my cousin Bunmi told me the matchmaker found me a match and he was Nigerian. At that point, I was over-dating, especially Nigerian men lol. My cousin gave Ayo my number and we started texting. Not too long after texting and talking on the phone, Ayo planned a day trip to Atlanta to take me on a date. After that date, I knew he was different from all the guys I have ever dated. He was very intentional and I felt very comfortable around him like we knew each other for a long time, For the next year we took turns flying back and forth between Atlanta and Houston. We also love traveling so we went on many international trips together. A year and a half later he popped the question and of course I said yes. Shout out to the matchmakers Deola and Bunmi!
Tosin was introduced to me by Deola, a mutual friend, we started texting and calling regularly. Soon after, I felt the need to meet her in person, so I booked a flight to Atlanta for a brunch date. After brunch we decided to get coffee on my way to the airport since we had some time to burn before my flight and the vibe was vibing. While having coffee, Tosin was approached by a complete stranger for help, her genuine act of kindness without hesitation towards that individual in need provided me with insight into her character. That singular moment made it clear: I wanted to see her again. And so, our romantic tale took flight, quite literally, with a series of plane rides to and from Atlanta. From that point on, as they say, the rest is history.
