How We Met

First comes school, then marriage.

It all started with a missed class during his second degree at the University of Ilorin. I needed the lecture notes, and I knew exactly the kind of person to ask someone who always sat in front and actually paid attention. So, after scanning the room, I walked up to him, hoping he wouldn’t turn me down. To my relief, he handed me his notes without hesitation. I copied them and, as promised, returned them afterward. But what was supposed to be a simple exchange turned into something more. We started talking about the class, random things, and somehow, the conversation felt natural, effortless. Before I left, he casually asked for my number. At the time, it seemed like nothing more than a friendly gesture, but looking back now, that small moment turned into something much bigger. As they say, the rest is history.
