Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who have honored us by agreeing to be by our side on our wedding day ❤️

Rachel

Maid of Honor

Rachel and I met when she started as a new nurse on the unit that I worked on in 2018. Initially we would hang out occasionally; we went to a nurse bar crawl together and had gotten pedicures together. Cue a difficult time in my life when I withdrew from everyone, and she quietly continued to reach out by sending me snapchats regardless of me not responding. One day I finally did start replying again and the rest is history. She was there for me when I didn’t want to talk, and we would just sit together in quiet. We spent most of COVID together as we both lived on our own and were already exposed as healthcare workers. During those times, we shared almost everything about our lives with each other, things that we hadn’t trusted others with before. She became my partner in crime and the person I could count on to be there for any and everything. Having her in my life is a blessing and I am honored she is standing by me while I marry the love of my life!

Helena

Maid of Honor

Every time I think of the origin of my friendship with Helena, I remember a pivotal moment - our first outing together just the two of us. We went to pick up her wine at a winery and stayed to have some wine and eat brie that she had made. I was going through a challenging time in life and started crying which made her super uncomfortable. She has come a long way over the years, but she has not always been the touchy feely type! Regardless of that, she stood by me and continued to show up for me which hasn’t stopped since. From meal prepping for my surgical recovery to being here to put my sock on when I couldn’t do that, to trying to create memorable celebrations for those she loves, to braving her anxiety to get on a plane and be at my Drexel graduation, she has been there. It is a privilege to call this selfless human one of my closest friends and to have her by my side for this special day!

Staci

Bridesmaid

Our friendship started in sophomore year of high school when we had environmental science class together and Staci would talk about how hot the teacher was. We’ve had periods of time since then where we talk more than others, as is normal in life. But over the past 20 years our friendship has never once waivered or ever been in doubt. She is someone I can talk to about anything from bodily functions to insane family dynamics without fear of judgment. I’ve had the privilege of watching her through many of life’s moments to include becoming an amazing mom, reclaiming her life, and finding love again after heartbreak. It is an honor to have her standby me as I marry my person!

Ally

Bridesmaid

Ally and I met in 2016 when she was hired onto the unit I worked at in the hospital. I was her preceptor and over those weeks, we started to build a friendship. She is the kind of friend who you don’t have to talk to every day, or even every week, but when you need her, she will undoubtedly be there. She has been there for me through some of the most difficult times in my life whether it was listening to me vent, talking through things, taking care of my mom while she was battling lymphoma, or sending me flowers in a moment where I needed strength. She is an incredibly kind human who I am lucky to have in my life and standing beside of me on my wedding day!

Jadyn

Bridesmaid

Jadyn is my niece; I watched her come into this world and have loved her since that day. As she has gotten older, we have created a bond of mutual support and talk most days. Watching her grow into the young woman that she is today, going from her sassy teenage self to a mother living on her own and taking care of her son, has been amazing. We went through the loss of her mom/my sister (Heather) together and having her in my life is like having a piece of Heather still here with us. I can’t wait to continue to watch her grow and succeed in life, and am proud to have her by my side for this special day!
