We had matched on Hinge and he ghosted me for a week (he will argue and says it was a weekend) but reached back out and asked about going to dinner. Had no real reason to say no so I just went with it. He had driven by a restaurant on a busy street here in El Paso called Sabretooth and said it sounded cool and asked if I would try it. Again, figured why not! Let's start with it being very small, we were cramped at a table between the wall and the main walkway and the bar on the other side of that. It was also had a slight hipster vibe, which wasn't what either of us would normally flock toward. Luckily the food was good so we finished and moved on to the second piece of the evening, playing pool. We get to the pool hall and were lucky enough to find an open table, considering it was Saturday night. Only problem was, not one bartender, waiter or staff member would give us the time of day to get a rack of balls. After about 15 minutes worth of trying we gave up and just headed to my house to watch a movie. Between Chris's shyness and my excellent ability to fill awkward silences with talking and questions, we got along great. He appreciated my ability to keep the conversation lively and I loved his attentiveness when he listened. And now were getting married, and the rest is history!
