We worked together for about 6 months before we ever really had an actual conversation. One day he needed help finding something in the warehouse, and I knew exactly where it was so I told him. It was that day I was like “Hmmm I need to get to know him more.” A few days later, I just decided I was going to pull Nick aside as he was getting ready to leave, to finally get to know him and interrogate him. I was trying to be very discreet and say that I was trying to "hook him up with a friend". After about 10 questions in, Nick asked if it was me. "Maybeee" I said, and Nick proceeded to open up that he was also very interested in me. After Nick left, I realized that we didn't have each other's numbers and instead of asking a co-worker, (because I don't like folk in my business lol) I decided to use my FBI skills and figure it out myself. 2 minutes later and I did. I texted him "yoooo Nick" and got no response. After a few hours of thinking I had the wrong number, I figured I should probably say who it was. "It's Ashley by the way" and within .0000005 seconds, I received a response. From there, we literally texted all day, every day and just bonded so well, so fast. The connection that formed was so surreal, it seemed too good to be true honestly. He was everything I could’ve asked for in a man. The whole package. When we planned to hang out for the first time, I was soooo nervous, I drove by his house planning to turn around and cancel, but he didn't let that happen. We were both shaking of nervousness and excitement, and honestly, we just fell in love. He won me over that day. He made me feel a way I have never felt before. I knew then that I had finally found my soulmate. From the outside looking in, it may seem fast to some, but when you know, you just know. And trust me, I’ve never been more sure about someone. Out of nowhere, we just decided to plan a trip to New Orleans since neither of us have ever been. Although I knew it would be, It ended up being the best trip ever. On St Patty's Day, Nick took me to the Tree of Life (was on the top of our list to go to) and ended up getting on one knee asking me to become his wife. I was in such shock that someone as special as him would actually want to be with me and KNOW he wants me forever. What we have is so so unique, and I cannot wait to be Mrs. Olson, spending the rest of my life with my best friend, amore mio, mon cher, il mio cuore, mio per sempre ❤️
I CAME....I SAW.......I CONQUERED! Haha all joking aside let me tell you the whole story, but that about sums it up in the least romantic and blunt way possible. The first time I saw Ashley I was walking into Budget Blinds helping out our good buddy Epstein in the warehouse. She was at the front desk and I essentially was like Holy Shit she's absolutely gorgeous. In the back of my head I was like “there is something special about this girl” but I didn’t know what. I had this feeling I couldn’t quite put my finger on. (We’ll come back around to this part later in the story). Anyhow I get back to the warehouse and in shock I am like “Who is that girl up front?” to Epstein and he tells me it’s Ashley. So fast forwarding, months go by of simple His and Byes, until the fateful Knife Day. To keep things simple and not get too Squirrel ADD, lets just say I needed Ashley’s help with something in the warehouse and our first real conversation and glances ensued. This is where the vibes started popping. And then the final straw was Interrogation Day, again to not stray, let's just say a simple Q&A for a “friend of Ashley’s” exposed our mutual attraction and interest in each other. This is where things move very fast and our bond and connection blossoms. Now we have each others’ numbers and my crew can attest. Lets just say I was borderline glued to my phone 24/7 talking with Ashley. It didn’t take long to realize this was something special and what we had was special, unique, and very, very real. We can both acknowledge it was fast, but hey, when you know you know and I didnt have a doubt in my mind. Over the next several months it was clear the woman of my dreams had officially manifested before my eyes and I had finally met my one and only, my soulmate. So to rewind way back to the beginning with that funny feeling I had no clue what it was. I can say it had to be a real life “love at first sight” scenario and I just couldn’t process it yet. So here we are, and I couldn’t be happier than to marry the love of my life, my soulmate, cara mia, ma cherie, mon coeur, et mia fidanzata (my sexy little pasta).
