Question
What is the dress code?
Answer
Dress like you're attending an exclusive event at a Natural History Museum Downtown--which you are! We kindly ask our guests to dress in semi-formal to formal attire to celebrate this special occasion with us. This means suits or nice dress shirts and ties with slacks, cocktail dresses, or gowns- you get it! We’d love for everyone to look their best, so we kindly request absolutely no jeans, shorts, t-shirts, polos, tennis shoes, or casual wear. We encourage our guests to go all out if they so choose to, but we know black tie isn't for all. Thank you for dressing up and making our day even more special!

Will children be able to attend the wedding?
Answer
While we would love to see all of the little ones, we have decided to keep this event adults only. So at this time, we ask that children and/or those uninvited attendees do not attend the wedding.

Where should I go?
Answer
The wedding is located at the Milwaukee Public Museum: 800 West Wells Street, Milwaukee, WI 53233. Once you arrive, you will be on the ground floor of the museum and there will be staff to direct you to the first floor where our wedding will take place.

What time should I arrive?
Answer
Our ceremony starts at 6:00 pm sharp. We recommend planning to be downtown by 5:30 pm, as you will have to park and get inside of the museum. Guests will be permitted to wait on the ground floor in the lobby of the museum until the ceremony starts on the first floor.

Where can I park?
Answer
Parking is available in the MacArthur Square parking garage located at 841 N James Lovell St, Milwaukee, WI 53233. It is adjacent to the Museum and is accessible via James Lovell Street. There is also metered street parking available on most streets surrounding the museum.

How long will the reception last?

We're excited to celebrate with you from 6:30 until midnight.

Will there be a seated dinner/seating chart?
Answer
Fortunately, we have decided to forgo a sleepy seated dinner and instead celebrate with multiple appetizer food stations and passed appetizers throughout the night. This allows for more time and opportunity to explore the beautiful museum venue and mingle with other guests and us!

There will be appetizers, but no dinner?
Answer
Correct! We have decided to forgo a seated dinner and opted to celebrate with multiple appetizer food stations and many passed appetizers throughout the night. These stations and passed appetizers will be available from 6:30 pm until around 10:30 pm with a variety of selections for all. We hope that this will provide enough food for everyone, but you are more than welcome to check out some of the great restaurants downtown before our wedding. Just don't be late! :)

What about gifts and your registry?
Answer
For any gifts, we would prefer and appreciate a contribution to our future home fund. Physical gifts and monetary gifts will be accepted at the venue, as well we will have an online registry and digital monetary fund available on our website for you to check out if you should feel inclined to send us gifts.

What about gifts for your shower?
Answer
If you prefer to go the traditional route and bring a gift to our wedding shower, we have set up a registry on our website that hopefully allows anyone willing to make a selection that suits them.

Are you doing any sort of afterparty?
Answer
We want to go out downtown after the reception. Anyone who wants to join is welcome! Where we go will probably be decided that night.
