We first met in middle school, sitting at the same table in 7th-grade science class. What began as whispered jokes and shared laughs quickly turned into something so fun that our teacher had to separate us. As the years passed, we grew up side by side, our friendship deepening as we navigated school, life, and all the in-between moments together. Then, during the summer before sophomore year of high school, everything finally aligned. What had always felt comfortable and familiar turned into something more, and we made it official.
